Vegan & Gluten-Free Air Fryer Honey Buns
20 mins prepServes 6
These homemade honey buns are inspired by the nostalgic Little Debbie's ones from school cafeterias, but made vegan and gluten-free in an air fryer. Don't forget the sweet glaze to make them even more like store-bought treats!
1. Whisk together the gluten-free flour, vanilla protein powder, cinnamon, baking powder, melted vegan butter, 1/3 cup non-dairy milk, and maple syrup to form a dough.
2. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and cut it in half.
3. Roll each half of the dough into a long cylinder shape, about 18 inches long. Then, cut each cylinder into 6 pieces and roll them into the desired honey bun shape (refer to video for visual).
4. Cook the honey buns in an air fryer at 350 degrees F for 5-7 minutes.
5. While the honey buns cool, whisk together the powdered sugar and 2 teaspoons of non-dairy milk for the glaze.
6. Once cooled, dip the honey buns into the glaze and enjoy!
