A recipe for tender slow-cooked brisket, prepared with a flavorful dry rub and cooked overnight in a slow cooker. Perfect as a base for burritos or enjoyed on its own.
Pat the brisket dry. Add 2 tablespoons of ketchup to one side of the brisket, then rub half of the seasoning mix (coconut sugar, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, sea salt, mustard seed, fresh ground pepper, peppercorn, cumin) into that side. Flip the brisket over and repeat with the remaining ketchup and seasoning on the other side. Let the brisket rest for 30 minutes to marinate (this step is not necessary but recommended for flavor). Place the brisket into a slow cooker with the fat cap facing up. Add 2 cups of beef bone broth. Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 8-10 hours; you can cook longer to achieve more tender results. Enjoy the brisket however you prefer.
